What are the goals of the Smokers Party?


We want the full abolishment of the smoking laws! (Get rid of it!)

The smoking laws are an outrage against 25 % of the danes who are smoking on a daily basis.
We have absolutely no confidence in the principles of the law, which is to have effect on august the 15th. 2007.
The principles of the law mean that smokers are fare game in the public space after that date.
The daily discrimination, harassment and persecution of tobaccosmokers, which at present takes place on the workplace and other places will get the formal approval of the parliament (folketinget) .
Already now  many employers are going much further than the law requires, excluding smokers from applying for jobs and forbidding smoking on the job at all.

Room for non-smokers as well as smokers

The Smokers Party will fight to make it possible for nonsmokers and smokers to exist on reasonable conditions and without harassing each other.
The pub on the corner shall be open to everybody .

The non-excluding and including Denmark

The Smokers Party will fight for the right to diversity and nonconformism among people of Denmark. This includes all!
As well as smokers and non-smokers, thick and thin, the redhaired and the blonde, and including all others that our parliament is excluding from the common society.

Mutual respect in the public space

The Smokers Party will fight for mutual respect in the public space.
We will not be a retorical part in the downbreaking of the basic strenght of the danish society.
On the contrary we will reintroduce a civil code of conduct, between the many groups in our society and be a part of the work to reestablish a political climate, where the respect of the individuals basic right to be human is the goal.

We are neither right og left, but a third political dimension, where the end of the triangle meets.
We believe that a welfaresociety can work without we are subject to a jungle of regulations, and in this way keep our personal freedom intact from the nannystate.
This means that we consider it a goal that the induvidual has the opportunity to act as a responsible citizen.

We are not a protestparty, but a party that is inflicted with the basic human values, that until recently have made Denmark a unique society and country in the world.
A society and a country where the respect of human diversity is an integrated part of the public space and the public workspace.
